Abuakwa Susubribi SC will feature in the Division One League next season after beating Port City in the final of the Eastern Region Division II Middle League on Tuesday.
The two teams played a pulsating goalless draw in the first half of the much-anticipated game at the Asuom Park.
The game was full of entertainment despite both teams failing to score goals in the first half of the clash.
After the break, Port City shot into the lead before Susubribi SC restored parity.
The Abuakwa-based club emerged as winners of the game after beating Port City 3-2 on penalties.
This means, Susubribi have emerged as champions of the 2021/22 Eastern Region Division II Middle League.
They will compete in the Zone Three of the second-tier championship in the 2022/23 season.
