Residents of Awutu Bereku in the Central region are furious over the massacre of dogs in the community.
Over 50 dogs at Awutu Akrampa Estate have reportedly been killed by traditional priests in the community for reason that it is taboo to rear dogs on the land.
The mass killing was carried out by gun and machete-wielding men who stormed the Community.
The situation has angered some residents who are threatening to clash with anyone seen carrying out the onslaught of dogs in the community.
In an interview with Eric Owusu Amposah, the residents revealed that dogs are being used for security purposes due to rampant robbery therefore killing the dogs will have consequences on their security.
However, the Leader of the youth Nai Rahman Duodu who spoke on behalf of Awutu Bereku Fetish priest said, the gods of Awutu Bereku have justified the killings of the dogs.
He said it is taboo therefore they will continue to kill any stray dog found in the community.
