Josephine Panyin Mensah has pleaded not guilty in her first appearance in court on Monday after faking her pregnancy and kidnapping in the Western Region.
Josephine Panyin Mensah, who was brought to the Takoradi Habour Circuit Court by the police around 6:00am.
The Takoradi Habour Circuit Court accused Josephine Panyin Mensah of two charges of deceiving a public officer and publication false news with intent to cause fear and panic.
Meanwhile, the Acting Director-General in charge of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service, ACP Kwesi Ofori has revealed that the police are going to prosecute her because she wasted their resources by creating such a fake story and sending them on a wild goose chase.
