The Koforidua Diocesan Youth and Vacations Director of the Catholic Church, Reverend Father Peter Gregory Oduro Owusu has charged Leaders to take Initiative and put ideas into action but not be mere listeners.
He added that leaders must take quick but calculated decisions and when decisions are taken, leaders should not brood over them but look straight ahead to another bright day.
Reverend Father Peter Gregory Oduro Owusu said this when he swore into office new Leaders of the Catholic Youth Organization for the Diocese of Koforidua in Pope John Senior High school and Minor Seminary.
The Youth chaplain charged the leaders to be Repairers of the breach and restorers of streets to dwell in, adding, most individuals who take positions of leadership, usually start with good intentions.
Father Oduro Owusu said many a worthy cause suffers because leaders succumb to the alluring temptation of personal advantage and forget the interests of those they represent.
The priest urged leaders to be scrupulously fair in their Judgement, impartial in decisions and steadfast in their convictions because the Church needs Apostolic Leaders to teach and guide the Youth.
Present at the ceremony were National Vice-chairman of the C.Y.O, Senior Crusader Gabriel M. Nartey, Former Diocesan C.Y.O chairman, Senior Crusader Theophilus Aboagye and a priest in Pope John Senior High school and Minor Seminary, Reverend Father Ebenezer Amo Oduro.
