Director of Elections of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Evans Nimako has advised Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama to take some rest.
According to Mr. Evans Nimako, President Akuffo-Addo will end former President, John Mahama’s aspirations of leading the country again as President after the 2020 elections.
In an interview with Accra-based TV station, Mr. Nimako affirmed that former President John Mahama “never helped” the country as President, hence the need for him to take some rest.
Mr. Nimako accused the opposition National Democratic Congress of initially scheming to sabotage the whole voter registration exercise in the country.
Mr. Nimako said John Dramani Mahama needs to take some rest, he never helped. The NDC’s position has been that they didn’t want a cleaned-up register for the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Mr. Evans Nimako also congratulated the Electoral Commission (EC) led by Jean Mensa for making the registration peaceful.
He said NPP polling agents, needed to be commended for good work done during the voter’s registration exercise.
“I think this whole voter’s registration process has been very successful. I will use this opportunity to commend the EC for a good work done,” he added.
