The Techiman branch of Rotary Club, a social, non-religious international benevolent association, has elected its first-ever female President in the person of Madam Margaret Korang.
Interacting with the Media in Techiman during the swearing-in of the new President and her Executives, Mr Frank Kofi Owusu Debrah, the Assistant District Governor of the Rotary Club gave a brief history of the Club and highlighted its structures in the administration.
He indicated that his outfit has over the years been recognized with the many projects and programs aimed at human empowerment.
Meanwhile, Madam Margaret Korang, the newly inducted President of Techiman Rotary Club whose tenure begins on 1st July 2022 expressed gratitude to be the first woman to ascend such a high position.
She assured me she will in collaboration with other Executives do their best to ensure the goals and aspirations of the Club is achieved for the betterment of people in their catchment areas.
Finally, Rev. Fr. Martin Oduro Bilson, the outgoing President of Techiman Rotary Club who is also the Rector of Buoryem St. Francis Seminary SHS, seized the opportunity to debunk the notion that Rotary is an association for only the Rich people or an Occultic Group but rather a Club of People from all walks of life who support humanity.
