The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) has paid a courtesy call on the Inspector-General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, at his office in Accra.
The visit was to officially introduce the Institute and the CILT International President Elect who happens to be the first African to assume this position since 1919.
It was also explore avenues of collaboration in terms of training and capacity building of the police personnel in the areas of Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport to aid in the effective execution of its mandate.
Dr. Dampare congratulated the International President Elect and assured him of his support.
The IGP was of the view that capacity building and training through the collaboration would fit into the transformational agenda of the service.
The delegation was led by the CILT International President Elect Chief Teete Owusu-Nortey, FCILT.
Joining him on the official visit were President of CILT Ghana Engr. Mark Amoamah, FCILT, Vice President – Education and Professional Development Neil Vorleto, CMILT and Administrative Officer Frank Osei, CMILT.
