Ghanaian youths have been cautioned by businessman Daniel McKorley, the CEO of the McDan Group, to take on jobs regardless of the consequences.
He contends that no employment that provides for one’s basic needs should be denigrated.
Serial entrepreneur McDan pointed out that people tend to assess occupations, but since their opinions won’t save you, you shouldn’t be concerned about what others think of a given employment.
In a social media post announcing this stance, McDan, as he is commonly known, stated “As a young adult, there’s no shame in doing odd jobs to fix your life. People will talk but no one will save you.
Work is work. It doesn’t have to be glamorous. Don’t be embarrassed of the work that you do. If it puts food in the fridge, a roof over your head, and helps you take care of yourself and family, then embrace it. People’s judgement won’t take care of you and neither will their praise,” he stated.
