Ghana Export Promotion Centre CEO, Yofi Grant, was a panelist at the MTN Capital Markets Day held in South Africa from May 31st to June 1st, 2023.
This year’s hybrid event, themed “Realising Ambition 2025 – Progress, Prospects, and Priorities,” provided an excellent platform for MTN to showcase their business achievements and growth journey.
It also served as an opportunity for government officials and business leaders to exchange knowledge and explore new avenues for sustainable development in Africa.
During his panel discussion, the CEO Yofi Grant emphasized the importance of adding value to Africa’s abundant mineral resources to elevate the continent’s position in the trade value chain.
He highlighted that the establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area, along with the introduction of the Pan African Payment and Settlements System, a digital payment platform facilitating multi-currency transactions across the continent, will significantly enhance intracontinental trade.
Also in attendance was Ghana’s Minister of Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta, who emphasized that Ghana was on track for economic recovery.
