Black Stars deputy captain Thomas Partey has made a bold statement to the vice president of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia amid the poor state of stadia in the country.
He comment comes following the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) visit to the Black Stars team ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifying game against Central Africa Republic on Monday night.
He was accompanied by the Sports Minister, Ussif Mustapha.
Speaking during Bawumia’s visit, Partey said, “We are ready. We want to give our best tonight. I have one request, from all the players, we ask for a good stadium because we want to play better football” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr Bawumia presented GHC500,000 to the Black Stars as sign of motivation ahead of the game against Central Africa Republic.
