The principal streets of the Northern Regional Capital, Tamale was this morning heavily flooded with thousands of enthusiastic youth of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The mammoth health walk led by the dynamic and intelligent Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia started from the Tamale Jubilee Park through its principal streets to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, where it was climax with a mega Rally.
The National Health Walk and Rally put together by the NPP National Youth wing under the able leadership of the National Youth Organizer, Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye Nana B formed part of activities laying the foundation for a forceful, impactful and vigorous Victory 2020 Youth-Driven Campaign.
Addressing the highly charged and enthusiastic crowd, the Vice President stated that “a comparison between the first three years of the NPP Government and that of the NDC is a clear case of Boot for Challewote”. He emphasized on the need for the Ghanaian youth to give President Akufo-Addo and the NPP four more years by recounting, on top of his head, over 85 achievements of the NPP Government in less than 3years.
Taking his turn at the event, the National Chairman, Hon. Freddie Blay encouraged the youth to be loyal, selfless and diligent in their service to the party.
The National Organiser, Sammi Awuku on the other hand charged the youth to move beyond social media campaigns and move to the grounds to sell the good message and achievements of the government to the voters. “Yesterday we had our talk, today we have had our walk but tomorrow let’s walk our talk and ensure that the NPP win the 2020 general elections decisively” he added.
On the part of the National Youth Organizer, Nana B, he cataloged the many youth focused initiatives and programs being implemented by the Nana Addo led NPP Government, adding that “the youth of the country are eternally grateful to the President and the NPP, and come 2020 we shall give Nana Addo additional four years”.
Taking active part in the events were National Officers of the Party, Ministers and Deputy Ministers, CEOs and Deputy CEOs and other Government Appointees as well as MMDCEs.
