The underlisted Heads of Mission who have completed their tours of duty in Ghana, paid a farewell call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), on Wednesday, 3rd September, 2025:
His Excellency Galea Mallia – High Commissioner of the Republic of Malta
His Excellency Jules-Armand Aniambossou – Ambassador of the Republic of France
His Excellency João Domingos Baptista Quiosa – Ambassador of the Republic of Angola
In separate interactions, the Minister extended felicitations to the Heads of Mission on the completion of their tours of duty and commended them for their commitment in strengthening the existing bilateral relations between Ghana and their respective countries.
He indicated the readiness of Ghana to enhance the cooperation for the mutual benefits of the countries.
His Excellency Galea Mallia expressed gratitude for the support he received from the Ministry and other relevant institutions to facilitate the discharge of his duties.
He recounted efforts made towards advancement of the relations between the two countries which included an establishment of working mechanisms with the private sectors of Ghana and Malta to boost trade and investment.
On his part, His Excellency Jules-Armand Aniambossou said that among others, projects were launched to support the creative arts industry through Societe General to promote entrepreneurship among the youth. He also expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended to him during his tenure as Ambassador of France.
His Excellency João Domingos Baptista Quiosa recalled the relations between the two countries and noted some achievements made during the period he served in Ghana which includes partnership with the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training Centre. He indicated that Angola is committed to enhancing its relations with Ghana.
