Three Persons have filed their nomination forms to contest the Parliamentary seat in Lower West Akyem Constituency of the Eastern Region.
They are Mr. Charles Acheampong, New Patriotic Party’s Aspirant, Mr. Michael Adusei filed on the tick of National Democratic Congress and Mr. Nicholas Osei Baidoo is also contesting on the ticket of Ghana Union Movement.
All the aspirants are new in the race and the seat is currently occupied by Mr. Eyiah Kyei Baffour who could not seek re-election over his Health.
Mr. Eyiah Kyei Baffour was the choice of the people and he won the Parliamentary seat in 2016 with 27,056 votes, representing 59.87%, while NDC’s candidate, Shirley NAANA OSEI AMPEM also obtained 18,011 39.86% and CPP’s MUHAMMED OSMAN also had 124 votes.
