Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, a former member of parliament for the Tema East Constituency, has voiced his displeasure with NDC executives (NDC).
He claims that it was a coup d’état because of how they removed their Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, his deputy, James Avedzi Klutse, and the Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak.
“What they’ve done is a coup d’état because Asiedu Nketia said that they sent people to go inform them. They sent elders of the party. Is that the right thing to do? After making such a major decision like this,” he asked.
He said that the NDC’s changes had expired when appearing on the Badwam Show on Adom TV.
“NDC has done their changes and there’s nothing that can be said about that, but there are a few lapses that when you look from afar all is not right. There’s only one truth.”
The outgoing Minority Leader and Chief Whip were congratulated by Mr. Titus-Glover for their commitment and perseverance.
“I’ve worked with Hon. Haruna at that time we were working on the International Trade Commission bill. We worked very closely at the time.
“When he was working as Minister for Trade, His performance, his composure, his delivery of all his works had its own strength. Muntaka fantastic,” he said.
He believed the NDC violated administrative rules, which was unjust to the Minority Caucus.
He believed that the Minority Leader, his deputy, and the Minority Chief Whip ought to have been applauded and better informed of the changes.
He added that the NDC’s national executives meeting today would not be taking place if thorough consultations were conducted.
The NDC announced a shift in their parliamentary leadership, appointing Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson of Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam as the new Minority Leader in lieu of Haruna Iddrisu of Tamale South.
