Nananom in the nineteen (19) Paramouncies that form the Bono East region has unanimously eulogized President Akufo-Addo led NPP government for carving them out of the former Brong Ahafo region in February 2019.
According to the traditional heads, the main aim of evenly distributing developmental projects to every corner of the country as far as sharing of the national cake is concerned is welcomed.
Oseadeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area and also a Council of State Member who on behalf of Nananom made this commendation, also, called on residents especially the youths to take their education seriously to become productive labor force who will benefit from the government’s programs and projects.
All these came to light at the maiden edition of Bono East Creation Awards held in Techiman and organized by The Encom Group of Companies in collaboration with the Techiman Traditional Council, to honor traditional leaders, Groups, and Individuals who played exceptional roles in the creation of the Bono East region.
Earlier on in his address, Pimampim Yaw Kabresse V, President of the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs and Omanhene of Yeji who chaired the occasion praised Government for the insight to create new regions but also pleaded that its accompanying developmental projects should be fast-tracked.
Also, Nana Baffuor Asare, Twi Brempong Adonten Hene of Techiman who was the Chairman of the Coalition of Chiefs for the creation of the Bono East region, and Nana Apenteng Fosu Gyeabuor Chief of Hansua who doubles as Banmu Hene of Techiman an active member of the Coalition both gave a brief history about the Bono East region’s creation.
Finally, an aspiring NPP Bono East regional Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Bukari Baba a.k.a. Chairman I.B. who received an excellence award for his contribution to the creation of the region in an interview with the media pleaded with the youth not to let the toil of traditional authorities be in vain.
