Nananom of Awutu State in the Central region have called on President John Dramani Mahama, Interior Minister, IGP, to intervene in the land dispute between Gomoa and Awutu State to avoid possible clash.
According to the Gyasehene of Awutu Traditional Council Nai Kwashie Arhine, Gomoa Fetteh chiefs are illegally claiming part of Awutu lands which may result in serious clash.
The Gomoa Fetteh chiefs claimed that kasoa, Ofaako, Akweley, Papaase 1&2, Nyamoa Nkwanta, CP, Apra, Krispocity and part of Gomoa Fetteh lands.
In response to this, the Gyasehene of Awutu Traditional Council in an interview with Kweku Ademah has stated that, the said areas are part of Awutu State lands and not Gomoa Fetteh hence the call on the IGP, President, Interior Minister to intervene to avoid possible clash.
Meanwhile, some of the chiefs in an interview with sompa TV has also warned that they are not afraid to shield blood to protect their properties and authorities did not intervene they will have they own way to protect they are
