An Assistant Priest of the Saint Catherine Parish, Kade in the Catholic Diocese of Koforidua, Reverend Father Samuel Adade Eli has charged leaders in the country to train people working under them to take over in the future to address the Leadership challenge.
He also charged those working under people to support their Leaders to succeed and stop Sycophancy and backbiting.
Delivering a sermon at Kade Catholic Church, Reverend Father Samuel Adade Eli said any leader who does not have back up in his or her absence is a failure and called on Leaders to Teach their subjects and trust them, but should not take them as slaves to please the Lord.
The Reverend Father called on Leaders to seek the Lord`s direction and knowledge always and should not use their work as an excuse to worship the Lord and stressed the need for leaders to serve but not to be served.
He urged followers of the Lord to be careful of self-acclaimed prophets, adding, “ the Lord said in Deuteronomy 18;15-20 that if any prophet dares to speak a message in my name when I did not command him to do so, he must die for it and so must any prophet who speaks in the name of other gods. “
Father Samuel Adade Eli appealed to men of God to seek for the Holy Spirit empowerment always to guide them and command them what to say in their speeches and called on Christians not to depend on Pastors for their life burden but they should be called upon the Lord in prayers and must be disciplined and exercise patience for the Lord to answer them.
