The Minister for Transport, Hon Kwaku Afriyie Asiamah provided updates on the Minstry’s extensive programme over the years to improve infrastructure and services.
Key among his presentation were the steps taken by his ministry to provide necessary supportive infrastructure and services for the Maritime and Inland Waterways, Aviation and Road Transport Services which are essential to drive Ghana’s development.
On the issue of current rise of accidents on the Volta lake, the minister charged the Ghana Maritime Authority to intensify operations to clamp down on operators of Cannoes who have no protective gears for their passengers.
