The Ghana Health Service – Headquarters has concluded a two-day performance review session aimed at evaluating progress and identifying strategies for improved service delivery. In his closing remarks, the Director-General of the Service, Prof. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, underscored the importance of leadership accountability and urged managers to take full responsibility for both their actions and inactions.
He stressed that the time had come for leaders to break away from ineffective routines and seek innovative approaches to long-standing challenges.
He further emphasized the need to integrate programmes and activities across departments to enhance operational efficiency. Calling for a shift in attitude, Prof. Akoriyea encouraged staff to embrace a mindset change rooted in excellence, dedication, and results-oriented work.
The review served as a platform to reflect on achievements, identify gaps, and strengthen the collective resolve to deliver better health outcomes for the Ghanaian population.
