The Binduri Community Day Senior High School in the Upper East Region has been temporarily closed down.
This is as a result of the school’s caterer inability to cook for for the students since 29th May, 2023.
This has impacted negatively on academics, attendance and other school activities.
According to school authorities, a total population of 600 students has over the period reduced to about 200.
The students earlier on Tuesday, 11 July, 2023, boycotted classes to register their displeasure to the authorities of the school, and government.
The Binduri District Director of Education, John Soka Jaggery, who addressed the students asked them to go home and assured them that management will convene a meeting with the caterer for a possible reopening by Monday, 17th July, 2023.
However, the final year students are still in school, writing their mock examinations.
