The Upper West Regional Coordinating Council led by the Regional minister were at Eremon Senior High Technical School to assess the level of damage caused by the fire outbreak at the girls dormitory on 6th February 2023.
While 170 girls have been directly affected by the fire outbreak, the cause of it is not known yet.
The management of the school has been urged to make the necessary adjustment to accommodate the displaced students.
The GETFUND administrator has detailed a consultant to assess the affected building for the appropriate action to be taken.
The Regional minister, Dr. Bin Salih Hafiz commended the staff and students of Eremon SHTS for their discipline even in the face of this traumatic situation.
He was accompanied by the Lawra MCE, Hon. Jacob Dery, the Regional Director of Education, some members of the Regional Security Council, and officials of the office of the Regional Coordinating Council.
