Dr. Kwaku Adu, a Lecturer with the School of Built Environment has been appointed Coordinator for the newly established Innovation and Incubation Hub at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) in Somanya, Eastern Region.
The HuB aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development within and beyond the corridors of the university to reduce graduate unemployment.
Dr. Kwaku Adu has been assigned responsibilities such as providing strategic academic leadership, forging industry partnerships, and mobilizing resources for research and innovation projects.
Supporting him is Ms. Cynthia Oduro Ameyaa, appointed as Hub Manager, who will oversee day-to-day operations, program implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
She will also drive administrative systems and training activities for the startups and students.
Additionally, the University has also appointed Mr. Ohene Kwesi Tuffour as Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer for the Hub.
He will design frameworks to track the Hub’s performance and integrate lessons learned into future projects.
Mr. Kingsley Adomako also appointed Administrative Support Staff to provide clerical and operational support for the smooth running of the Hub.
The establishment of the Innovation Hub which is expected to drive youth innovation and job creation is part of UESD’s vision to reduce graduate unemployment among its alumni.
The Hub will nurture innovation, empower students, and build strong industry partnerships in the environmental sector
