The University of Ghana, Legon and the Bank of Ghana have signed a partnership agreement for the establishment of the BoG Chair in Finance and Economics to help promote research that will influence policy making in the country.
At the signing, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo expressed appreciation to the Central Bank for their generosity towards University of Ghana.
She also added the agreement is a boost to University of Ghana, Legon’s vision of becoming research-intensive, thereby contributing to Ghana’s development.
Research plays vital role in teaching and learning as far as tertiary education is concerned, with lecturers sometimes seen complaining for lack of allowances to do research.
