Uganda’s Anglican Archbishop, Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, says he is still stuck with prizes to be won by couples who wed while still virgins.
State-owned New Vision website reports that the prize includes a “big sum of money” which has never been won.
Archbishop Mugalu said he started the initiative to encourage women to enter marriage while still virgins.
Kaziimba said the initiative was inspired by Mary the mother of Jesus who Christians believe was made pregnant miraculously by God while she was still a virgin.
