Ugandan Drivers Without Dust Bins To Be Fined $1,630

Starting April 1, Ugandan drivers caught without a trash can inside will be arrested and fined up to $1,630.

According to a statement from the country’s environmental management department, drivers who fail to pay the fines may be prosecuted and placed in jail or must pay a fine set by the courts.

Currently, long-distance passenger buses in the state are required to have trash cans. However, rubbish bins do not include plastic bags.
