Uganda’s Senior Presidential Advisor and first son, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has ordered security organs to investigate the murder of a prominent blogger Isma Olaxes who was shot dead on Saturday as he entered his home in a Kampala suburb.
“I am very saddened to hear about the brutal killing of our compatriot Olaxes,” Muhoozi, the son of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, said.
Isma used social media platforms like Tiktok and Facebook to attack the opposition in Uganda and promote Muhoozi’s presidential ambitions.
Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine in a tweet about the slain blogger, said, “what is clear to all of us, regardless of your political affiliation, is that in a sinking boat, there are no winners.”
