The Government of Korea has presented Information Technology (IT) equipments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration for the 2023 United Nations Peacekeeping Ministerial Meeting to be hosted by Ghana in December 2023.The IT equipments included 20 printers and 20 laptop computers.
During a presentation ceremony on Tuesday 25th July 2023, the Ambassador of Korea to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Jung-Taek Lim commended Ghana for being the first country in Africa to accept to host the conference and announced that the Government of Korea will donate about $ 1 million worth of IT products and vehicles to support Ghana to host a successful meeting in December 2023 .
Ambassador Lim, lauded Ghana for playing a major role and contributing to United Nations (UN) peacekeeping operations over the years. He assured that the Government of Korea will continue to cooperate with Ghana in its hosting of the 2023 UN Peacekeeping Ministerial Conference.
On his part, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong acknowledged the Government of Korea for supporting the Ministry with the IT equipments. He was of the hope that the equipments will aide the work of the Planning Committee of the Ministerial Meeting and its Secretariat to host a successful meeting.
