The Asamankese Circuit Court presided over by His Honour Abass Abubakari Adams has sentenced a 24 year old unemployed, Kyei Boadu to seven years imprisonment in hard labor for defiling a 15-year-old girl in Asuom.
According to the prosecution statement presented by Chief Inspector Samuel Appietu Appiah, the complainant is Martha Safoa who is the mother of the victim and they live at Asuom while the accused, Kyei Boadu, also known as Kobby, unemployed, also live at Asuom.
The prosecutor said in November 2019, the complainant detected that the accused was in an amorous relationship with her daughter so she started investigation them and warned the accused to stay away from her daughter.
In that same month according to the prosecutor, the accused lured the victim to her room in Beposo-Asuom and had countless sex with her, and later, the victim got pregnant and dropped out of School.
The prosecutor said the victim in November 2021 delivered a baby girl at Asuom Health center but the accused failed to cater for her bills and later sneaked into the victim’s house while her mother was not at home and took away the three weeks old baby to an unknown location.
The victim and her mother reported the case to the police and later in the day, the accused was arrested and upon Interrogation, he admitted defiling the victim and was later arraigned before court for prosecution.
