Confirmed reports has it that Assemblyman for the Sra electoral area in the Yilo Krobo Municipality, Eric Narh Kwao has been killed by a vehicle near the Yilo Krobo Municipal Assembly office on early Monday morning.
This was made known by Supt. Anyani Andrews, the Somanya District Police Commander when confirming to the story that had already been on social media.
He revealed the mortal remains of the deceased has been deposited at the Yilo Krobo municipal hospital mortuary whiles the driver of the vehicle has been arrested to aid the police with investigations.
Meanwhile, reports gathered has it that the stretch of the road does not have road markings nor signs making it a catalyst to occurrence of many accidents in the Yilo and Lower Manya Krobo municipalities.
Residents are therefore calling on the Ghana Highway Authority and the Roads ministry to intervene in the issue and treat it as a matter of urgency.
