The Member of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo Constituency, Bismark Tetteh Nyarko has donated Ghc20,000 worth of surgical equipment to Assesewa Government Hospital.
The equipment which consists of a surgical lamp and an autoclave is to enhance surgical procedures at the hospital.
The items were received by Ms. Beatrice Addai, the Officer-in-Charge of the hospital’s theatre.
She thanked the MP for his relentless support of the hospital.
The MP was taken around the facility by the Hospital Administrator, Mr. Richard Owusu, and appealed to him to help replace tattered mattresses used by patients.
Bismark Tetteh Nyarko said health is wealth therefore will continue to use his share of the District Assembly Common Fund to improve healthcare delivery and undertake other developmental interventions for the benefit of the constituents.
Present at the short ceremony were a former MP for the Constituency, Stephen Kwao Amoanor, the District Chief Executive, Nanor Teye Joe Sam, and Mr. Ayariga, the District Coordinating Director.
