The Member of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo Constituency, Hon. Bismark Tetteh Nyarko has swiftly intervened to renovate Takorase Anglican Basic School which was wrecked by a violent rainstorm destroying the school building.
The roofs of the school were ripped off while portions of the building collapsed. The incident has since April 27, 2022, disrupted the academic exercise.
The Member of Parliament Bismark Tetteh Nyarko upon notification of the incident quickly mobilized resources to purchase six (6) packets of roofing sheets, thirty-one (31) pieces of Iron rods, and thirty bags of cement, woods, sand, and chippings to renovate the school.
The Head Teacher of the School, Mr. Philip Yeboah, Assembly Member of Takorase/Adwenso/Plekumase Electoral, Hon. Paul Nyarko and Dademankyeme received the donation and thanked the MP for his commitment to education.
The MP said education is one of his key priority areas which he is deliberately investing in to help break down the quagmire of poverty in the Constituency.
He said many interventions have been made in that regard since taking office as MP.
The Member of Parliament promised that the people of Takorase and surrounding communities plan to build the CHPS compound at Sutapong, Plekumase.
He urged the local chiefs to make lands available for the projects to commence.
Bismark Tetteh Nyarko told the media that, there has been an unprecedented delay in the release of the MP’s share of the Common Fund since 2021 however can’t sit aloof for his people to suffer and hence will continue to mobilize personal resources to fix some of the challenges within means.
