On the sidelines of the US-Africa leaders conference in Washington, the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo & the Centre’s CEO, Yofi Grant, have been in dialogue with award-winning actor, musician, & filmmaker, Idris Elba, who wishes to lend his depth of experience and expertise to the African film industry.
Elba, who has roots in Sierra Leone and Ghana, illustrates people of African descent who have achieved great success in the global entertainment industry.
As such, it is envisioned that a partnership with the award-winning actor and filmmaker would pave the way for more major films to be made on the continent to amplify authentic African stories.
