U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell met with President Akufo-Addo during his visit to Ghana on July 15, 2024.
Their discussion reaffirmed the impact of the strong U.S.-Ghana partnership on regional security and strengthening democracy and respect for human rights across West Africa.
He also had positive discussion with Minister for National Security Albert Kan-Dapaah on regional security issues.
Deputy Secretary Campbell also had a fruitful meeting with young innovators and entrepreneurs at the YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa in Accra, listening to their inspiring stories of innovation and determination.
