On behalf of USAID, Her Excellency Virginia Palmer, US Ambassador to Ghana has handed over 3.7 million Teaching and Learning materials to Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum on behalf of the Ministry of Education.
These 3.7 million books were locally developed by Ghanaian writers, illustrators, designers and content developers.
This means that the content of these books highlights the Ghanaian and African stories in a unique way for our children.
The Education Minister, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum commended Buck Press, a locally owned printing house for maintaining quality and printing these books ahead of schedule.
“This Government is committed to improving learning outcomes right from the basic level to the tertiary level” he stressed.
The two discussed how the U.S is partnering with Government to strengthen the education system.
