The medical officer for Ridge Hospital, Doctor Gideon Duko has advised all Ghanaians to use condoms during their sexual activities in order to prevent themselves from cervical cancer.
According to him, cervical cancer is a sexually transmitted infection and is a type of cancer that occurs in the cervix.
“Abnormal bleeding, such as menopause, bleeding between menstrual periods and many others are symptoms associated with cervical cancer” he stated.
He added that when cells in the cervix become abnormal and multiply rapidly, cervical cancer can develop.
He also said that the youth should avoid multiple sexes or they should use a condom to prevent themselves from cervical cancer.
He urged all Ghanaians to visit the various hospitals to check whether they are affected by this virus or not.
