The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in Ghana has schooled Wendy Shay on regulations guiding advertising alcoholic beverages asking her to campaign towards alcohol abuse using her stardom.
The Uber driver hitmaker took to her Facebook to relay her displeasure against the FDA for making her lose a deal worth thousands of dollars.
According to the Ruff Town records labelled artiste, a foreign alcoholic company had approached her to be their brand ambassador but lost the contract due to the interference of FDA with their regulation guiding celebrities and alcohol advertising.
According to FDA regulations, no well-known personality or professional shall be used for alcoholic beverage advertisements.
While the ‘Stevie Wonder’ songstress is lambasting FDA on her Facebook wall, they (FDA) retaliated in a positive way on their Facebook page trying to highlight the musician saying, “We are not trying to take food from your mouth” as she had posted on her Facebook page earlier.
