Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is expected to join the people of Anloga to celebrate this year’s Hogbetsotso festival at the Hogbe Park, Anloga in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The Awomefia of Anlo State, Togbui Sri III was invited to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, as the special guest of honour at the last “Akwasidae” festival in 2018.
History will be repeated this year, as His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, King of the Ashanti Kingdom will grace this year’s Hogbetsotso festival as the special guest of honour.
The Hogbetsotso festival is celebrated by the chiefs and people of Anlo in the Volta region of Ghana. Some major Anlo towns include Anloga, Keta, Kedzi, Vodza, Whuti, Srogboe, Tegbi, Dzita, Abor, Afiadenyigba, Anyako, Konu, Alakple, Atsito, Atiavi, Deʋegodo, Atorkor, Tsiame and many other villages.
