The Senior Pastor of Holy Hill Chapel of the Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Dr. Kwadwo Bempah says many Ghanaian bloggers are carrying curses on their heads for using their platforms to denigrate and ridicule men of God.
He said many bloggers and some media houses have developed the penchant of attacking men of God in the country, misrepresenting them, and inciting the public against them to be insulted.
“Let me warn you. This modern-day social media has put okro on everybody’s mouth. These guys call bloggers, for them, the curse on them is too much. They cut something 20 years ago they cut it, arrange it, cut it arrange it and they paste. Please keep your mouth ooo!”
He continued “recently they took something Archbishop said and added it to what Pastor Chris said. Two great men of God everybody in his city preaching his message and they create confusion. Archbishop is saying fasting is good, Pastor Chris is saying if you have faith you don’t fast, and that is not what they are saying. And people watched and they started making comments! Comments! Young people hustling to get food on the table but bringing curses upon themselves. Using it to make money, that money can you eat?” He said.
Rev. Dr. Kwadwo Bempah also lamented how some media houses deliberately criticize men of God in an attempt to bring them down.
“Today there is media houses that are fully dedicated to criticizing men of God. Something the Bible says we shouldn’t do “.
The revered man of God said this in a sermon aired on GHone TV Sunday, August 29, 2021.
He preached on the topic; Covenant Day of Breaking Curses”
He charged the congregants to desist from speaking evil about people on social media especially men of God to prevent bringing curses upon themselves.
“Say mercy to all social media comments you have been making. A time comes you have to move away from all these Facebook whatever. They are helping us to swim in curses”.
Rev Dr. Bempah said there are many things that Christians take for granted but bring curses upon themselves.
He mentioned among other things stealing including untruthfulness in tithing, killing the innocent including abortion, dishonoring/rebellion against parents are some of the things that could bring curses upon an individual.
“If you are not married sit on your buttocks. Abortion killing the innocent brings curses “.
He quoted Zakaria 5:4, 2Samuel 3:19 -20, Genesis 38:8-10, Proverbs 20:20 as main texts.
