Vincent Ekow Assafuah Esq, a member of parliament for the Ashanti Region’s Old Tafo constituents, has maintained that the New Patriotic Party’s honesty with Ghanaians is the reason it lost the 2024 elections.
His judgment follows the Environment Minister’s acknowledgement that the Ghanaian economy suffered a significant setback as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war.
According to a social media post, he expressed concern that Ghanaians were duped by the propaganda of the then-opposition NDC and did not trust the facts his political party informed them.
His post shared via social media read “We were vilified, insulted, called all sorts of names, and voted against not because we failed, but because we chose to be honest with the ordinary Ghanaian.
These were the words of the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, spoken boldly on an international platform.
