The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Executives and their supporters in Lower West Akyem and Upper West Akyem Constituency in the Eastern Region on Wednesday afternoon clashed with verbal attacks and curses at a Hotel in Asamankese over alleged Foreigners and Non-Residents Transported from Central Region to Register in Adeiso in the ongoing Voters Registration Exercise.
The alleged Foreigners and Non-Residents, numbering about twenty-five together with their kids under breastfeeding arrived in Juniel Lodge in Asamankese around 11 am in a sprinter Bus with Registration Number GW-4208-13 for camping and Registration but due to the clash, the driver abandoned the vehicle and run away.

Early intervention of the Asamankese Divisional Police Commander and Motor Traffic and Transport Department Boss prevented bloody clash but the abandoned vehicle was taken to the Divisional headquarters by the Police and most of the alleged Foreigners and Non-Residents run away.
About five women and their kids who could not run away were rescued by Upper West Akyem Constituency NPP Secretary, Ganiyu Rhaman, and his Organizer with their Vehicle.

Speaking with some of the victims, one Ama said she is a porter in Kasoa Bosompramu and was called by her follow porter to join a vehicle for registration in Adeiso but the financial aspect was not negotiated. Another Nursing mother form Kasoa Camp, Mary Diago said a woman (Unknown) came to them to transport them and Register to exercise their Franchise in December election but she was not paid.
According to the caretaker of the Hotel, the alleged Foreigners and Non-Residents were brought there by an unknown man who said he is from Adeiso and said they will be there for just a day for resting.
In an interview with Mr.Ken Dadzie, Upper West Akyem Constituency NDC chairman who was at the scene with Some Constituency Executives from Asamankese, said he was called by NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Lower West Akyem who was at the hotel for resting and reported the incident at which he also rushed to the scene and saw the victims.

Mr. Ganiyu Rhaman and Mr. Ken Dadzie, during the verbal attack, were accusing each other of Transporting Non-Residents to register as supporters were also cursing and verbally attacking themselves which nearly ended with bloody.
