Member of Parliament for Bibiani Anhwianso Bekwai Constituency, Hon. Alfred Obeng Boateng has commissioned two mechanized boreholes for the people of Sefwi Dominibo No.1 and Atronsu as part of his “clean water project” to benefit communities who have been denied access to good drinking water.
The lawmaker told the media that the “clean water project” (CWP) is being implemented in twenty-five communities and would be extended to other communities within the shortest possible time”
He stated the clean water project is one of the interventions instituted to ensure that residents in deprived areas get a safe water supply.
According to him, the project also demonstrates his commitment to complement the government’s effort in accelerating the socio-economic development of Bibiani Anhwianso Bekwai Constituency, and this was one of the promises made to the people before the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections and therefore has expanded access to water, ensured sustainable water supply and sanitation services to the inhabitants.
Hon. Alfred Obeng Boateng again said, he has “formed a committee to collect data in three centers to identify unemployed graduates, JHS and SHS leavers so that we can cope with them and put them into entrepreneurship”.
Nana Gyekye Kwagyan, Chief of Sefwi Dominibo No.1, and Nkonwasoafohene of Sefwi Anhwianso traditional Area expressed his appreciation for the life-saving intervention and assured Hon. Alfred Obeng Boateng of their readiness to rally behind him and Akufo-Addo led government for development of Bibiani Anhwianso Bekwai Constituency andàa Oliver twist asked for more to be done, especially on roads and school computers.
Some of the residents who are beneficiaries of the portable drinking water eulogized the MP for good social intervention.
