The Member of Parliament for Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Alfred Obeng Boateng, has sent a congratulatory message to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), parliamentary candidate elect, Mr. Bright Asamoah Brefo for emerging victory in the just ended primaries.
Mr. Bright Asamoah Brefo won the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Parliamentary elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
After the internal election on Saturday, May 13, 2023, He polled 824 of the total valid votes cast to emerge victory.
Mr. Asamoah Brefo defeated his contenders, Lawyer Stephen Bennieh and Kwame Obeng Adjinah in an overwhelming victory as they polled 644 and 170 votes respectively and 23 rejected votes.
This, according to Lawyer Alfred Obeng Boateng in an interview with Lord FM News, emphatically stated that, to him, he sees the NDC parliamentary candidate does not want to be MP but to lead the NDC in the Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency to work hard to amass vote for their presidential candidate and in case by unlikely event, he becomes MCE or to vye for position.
Hon. Alfred Obeng Boateng expressed that the three aspirants who contested in the NDC parliamentary primaries in the Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency and to compare them to him, in the area of his strategy, capability, likeness etc are not his match, and has promised to increase the vote margin difference from 17,000 to 20, 000.
Lawyer Alfred Obeng Boateng, added that he has already won the NPP primaries in advance and whosoever tries will see his or her smoothless level since the delegates in the constituency are well educated and can compare and contrast over the unprecedented performance and the sort of good relationship he has with the delegates and the constitutuents.
He, therefore eulogized that anyone who wished to contest him February 2024, will not even get 30% and if that happens, he will step aside and allow that candidate to go.He made these statement at the thanksgiving service at St.Benedict Church at Sefwi Bekwai, held to honor God and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Paul Andoh and party folks.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Paul Andoh reiterates that he will make sure to unify the grassroot and bring everyone on board to help to complete stuck projects and to increase the vote margin since he’s ever ready to work for the party and the Municipality as a whole.
