The President of National House of Chiefs and Paramount chief of Sefwi Ahwiaso Traditional area, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II says he felt very elated and honoured when the India High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Sugandh Rajaram visited him at his palace at Ahwiaso.
The High Commissiuoner’s visit was part of his tour to the various regions of the country to be abreast with the geographical and traditional livelihood of Ghanaians.
The Commissioner was warmly welcomed with Ghanaian rich culture on display at the palace and also to request the India government through the commissioner to invest in Ghana and support ICT sector.
He further revealed that the India High Commissioner has pledged to give some percentage of scholarships to some Ghanaians to study in Indian universities.
The traditional leader, however, advised Ghanaian students to take opportunity of the many chances available to further their education and help improve their knowledge.
