The former member of parliament for Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency in erstwhile Jerry John Rawlings ( PNDC) administration, Hon. Kwame Darko, has slammed the the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to use Kumawu by-election as a case study to win 2024 general elections.
In an interview with Lord fm, Hon. Kwame Darko indicated that for NPP to win in the traditional stronghold is normal and nothing to scare the NDC because the constitutuents does not care about low performance of developmental projects initiated and fortified by the ruling government but vote on party line just to prove to the NDC that they still love their party(NPP).
He urged the umbrella fraternity that all is not lost and opined that the party did so well to increase their vote pattern to 17.29% which he revealed that they had not gotten this unprecedented votes as compared to the previous elections, and the NPP is increasing at a decreasing rate but for NDC figures going up shows with an increasing rate, he emphasized.

Hon. Kwame Darko, moreover called on the rank and file of the NDC to workhard on the underground to capture the Assin North seat but was quick to described the Assin North by-election as a decisive seat for the NDC since the government has messed up the economy and winning the seat again is paramount.
