Residents of Domenibo No. 2, a community near Bibiani in the Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region woke up Wednesday morning in a state of shock as a day-year-old baby was seen and saved from a public toilet pit.
Speaking with the Assembly member of the electoral area, Hon. Danso Abiam revealed that the committee chairman of the area Stephen Dwomor, who was attending to nature’s call around 4 am heard a cry of a baby in the pit and immediately rescued and sent her to the Bibiani government hospital for medical attention.
He later reported the incident to the Bibiani police station for investigations.
Danso Abiam seized the opportunity to urge parents to train their wards well to avert such bad deeds and further advised both male and female youth to also be careful with premarital sex which can breed such attitude.
“Don’t follow beauty or handsomeness else you will choose a regrettable partner”, he opined.
Meanwhile, the suspected mother who is said to be 19 years old has been identified, according to the Assembly member.
