The District Chief Executive for Amenfi Central District, Hon. Patrick Hockson Amponteng (PH), has stated that for a country to develop and decentralise projects across the length and breadth of the country, the citizens need to pay more tax to help the government achieve its policies and programmes.
In an interview with Kwame Kontor Boateng on Lord FM, the Amenfi Central District Chief Executive (DCE) stressed that the district is doing all it can to reach out to the people this year to explain to them the need to pay tax and the end result that will benefit the state and the district.
He said businessmen, store owners, traders, landlords, land permits are avoiding honouring to pay tax and will do everything within his means to pay for property rate but assured that measures are put in order to Fastrack these people to pay tax.
Hon. Patrick Hockson Amponteng (PH), expressed that the district is going to put much effort into public education work so that the residents can understand better the essence of paying tax.
He finally reveals that three(3) of their deplorable road network has been awarded to contractors by this current government and very soon, will be motorable to drivers and pedestrians since the contractors have been advised to speed up their work.
