The stakeholder’s engagement being organised by the Claims Processing Centre (CPC) Cape Coast has continued for NHIS Credentialed Healthcare Providers and other Stakeholders in the Western Region.
In her welcome remarks, the Ag. Deputy Director of the CPC, Cape Coast, Abena Ekufua Esia-Donkoh reminded participants of the shared commitment to improving the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of primary healthcare.
The Director, Financial Accounting, Dr. Gustav Cruickshank reassured participants of the NHIA’s readiness to resolve any financial challenges that may exist in their operations and further advised them to take advantage of the digital innovations introduced by the NHIA to confirm client’s eligibility at the point of service and encouraged them to support the Authority’s public education on the My NHIS App to help achieve UHC by 2030.
A board member and chairman of the programme, Dr. Isaac Charles Morrison, in his remarks, commended participants for an impressive turnout. He assured that all concerns and suggestions raised would be given the needed attention. He further admonished the audience to desist from charging illegal and authorised fees to NHIS members at facilities.
The engagement offered stakeholders the opportunity to discuss, exchange ideas, share experience, and explore innovative ways to timely generate, submit, and process claims for prompt reimbursement. Dr. Abigail Derkyi Kwarteng Cudjoe, Ag. Director, Claims, and Mr. Oswald Essuah-Mensah, Ag Director Corporate Affairs, together with the Western Regional Director, Mr. Emmanuel Okyere were also in attendance.
