Richard Kirk-Mensah, Western Region NDC Communication Officer, was one of the participants at our Townhall Meeting in Takoradi, Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has revealed.
In a Facebook post, the minister indicated. “He explained his opposition to the e-levy while others expressed their support for it”.
“Other speakers also raised very relevant questions and some even offered alternatives. Of course those who came with propaganda were also corrected”.
The Townhall Meetings are designed to generate a healthy public debate and a deeper understanding of why Government needs to raise more revenue to satisfy the growing legitimate needs of citizens.
The maiden edition was held at the Ascension Presbyterian Hall in Koforidua, the Eastern Eastern Regional capital.
