The Wa Municipal Fire Command in a constituted effort to reduce fire and related incidents ahead of the yuletide and harmattan seasons has heightened fire safety education to empower residents with emergency fire safety precautionary measures.
A team of Fire Safety Officers led by ADO ll James Anafo visited some targeted areas which include: Drinking Spots, Lorry Parks, Shops and Hotels.
The education was centred on good housekeeping, overloading of electrical sockets, overcrowded electrical meters, wrong wiring and the usage of faulty electrical gadgets.
Residents were equally advised to create fire belts around their houses, especially those living around bushes.
