Head coach of West African Football Academy (WAFA) Prosper Nartey Ogum has lamented over his team’s inability to win against Asante Kotoko on Sunday in matchday 9 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Academy boys were to a 1-1 draw on home turf and according to Nartey, he was not happy with the outcome of the results.
Daniel Lomotey scored the opener in the first half for the home side but Kwame Poku pulled parity for the away side in the second half.
Speaking after the game, he indicated that his players allowed Kotoko to get more of possession in the second department of the match which led to the equalizer.
“We played very well according to our game plan and the approach. We took the game to them. But then when we came in the second half we were a bit relaxed especially the early part of the second half and that allowed Kotoko to see more of the ball. And as they saw more of the ball they grew in confidence and eventually they had the equalizer.” He said.
“I am disappointed with the outcome of the game. To me, we were better, we created a lot of chances and we could have won. But that’s what we have gotten from the game.” He added.
